What are Eline Rosina huggies made of?

At Eline Rosina we sell huggie earrings in three types of material. You've probably heard of the first two: our Gold Plated Sterling Silver huggies are made of 925 recycled sterling silver with an 18 karat solid gold layer (between 0.25 and 1 micron). They are then finished with an e-coating so the huggie earring stays beautiful for as long as possible. 

Our silver huggies are made of recycled 925 sterling silver. This is the highest quality for silver jewellery and, just like the other material, it is finished with an e-coating. Recycled silver is a more sustainable alternative to newly mined silver. 

Finally, we also offer a more luxurious option for our huggies: Gold Vermeil. To be called Gold Vermeil, a piece must have a thick 2.5 micron layer of gold over sterling silver. Just like our Gold Plated Sterling Silver jewellery, our Gold Vermeil huggies consist of recycled sterling silver covered with a layer of 18 karat gold. The thickness of this gold layer ranges from 0.25 to 1 micron for Gold Plated Sterling Silver and is 2.5 micron for Gold Vermeil jewellery. The thicker the gold layer, the longer the piece lasts.
