WHAT MATERIAL ARE ELINE ROSINA'S HUGGIE EARRINGS MADE OF?

At Eline Rosina, we sell huggie earrings made from three materials. The first two are probably materials you've heard of before: Gold-Plated Sterling Silver huggies are made from 925 recycled sterling silver with an 18-karat solid gold layer (between 0.25 and 1 micron). They're then finished with an e-coating to ensure the huggie earring lasts as long as possible.

The Silver Huggies are made of recycled 925 sterling silver. This is the highest quality silver jewelry available, and like the other materials, it's finished with an e-coating. Recycled silver is a more sustainable alternative than new silver.

Finally, we also offer a more luxurious option for our huggies. We've made huggies from Gold Vermeil. To be considered Gold Vermeil, an item must have a thick layer of gold, 2.5 microns, over Sterling Silver. Our Gold Vermeil huggies, like our Gold Plated Sterling Silver jewelry, are made from recycled Sterling Silver covered with a layer of 18-karat gold. The thickness of this gold layer varies from 0.25 to 1 micron for Gold Plated Sterling Silver and 2.5 microns for Gold Vermeil jewelry. The thicker the gold layer, the longer the item will last.

What is a huggie earring?

Huggie earrings are smaller than normal hoops and hug your ear. Huggie earrings have a hugging closure system. The huggie earrings are easy to click open and close.

Can you wear huggies as a piercing?

It is possible to wear huggie earrings as piercings. Please note that the thickness of huggie earrings is smaller than that of a piercing. Thus, constantly wearing huggies may narrow the hole of your piercing.
