What's the difference with 14-karat gold piercings?
First of all, of course, the material. Flatback earrings are made of recycled gold-plated sterling silver and may fade in color over time. 14-karat gold piercings don't have this. Secondly, they're 1mm thick instead of 1.2mm. This makes them ideal for wearing in your earlobe.

What lengths are the flatback earrings available?
They're all 6.5mm long. This is an average length, which fits most healed piercings.

Can I get my ears pierced with flatback earrings?
No, this isn't possible. The material isn't designed to allow the piercing wound to heal properly. Furthermore, 8mm is often used for piercings, and flatback earrings are only available in 6.5mm.

How do I put in the flatback earring?
You unscrew the front of the piercing and insert the back of the piercing forward through your ear. Then you screw the stud onto the front.
